Kimono Style Duster

As the weather slowly starts getting ugly, it is only right to prepare for the colder months.  I’d like to start my cold weather season with layering pieces as it makes for an easy transition.  I’ve been eyeing these Kimono Style Dusters for a while and I found it in the form of the McCalls Sewing Pattern 7790.

I used African print wax fabric in the “Angola” or Samacacca” print. I purchased the African print from TessWorldDesigns on Etsy and the solid black print from Joann Fabrics. This is one of those patterns that is well lined so you do not need a serger as you will not use it at all.  Pretty simple and straightforward pattern that I have already worn out and people seems to love.  Oh and did I mention it has pockets! If you can go ahead and give it a try.

Until next time,
